Project Oakdale
MS today released the long time coming Project Oakdale.
For those of you who are wondering what is Project Oakdale. In layman terms its how you can build Apps using relational database inside your MS Teams.
Yes, you read it write inside your Teams. You can now create Power Apps write inside your Teams, even have studio for designing, creating a database, relationship between tables and publishing it to the team. Your created App will soon be visible as a tab in the Team you published.
Currently this version is on public preview, but that is how MS plays it cards.
Also, as of now its only restricted to Canvas apps but, i am sure MS will bring in the model driven apps to it.
The most amazing feature is that you can also now create BOTS inside your teams. Bots can then be installed and used by the members of the teams. i haven't tried the BOTS yet but, more on it later.
Below is the link where one can find all the details related to Project Oakdale.
i also found out an interesting video on youtube to begin with.

You can also share the app created across teams, but the database will be saved in the team you created app for. Your external users will also have access to the App if they have the access to the teams.
I believe this will take teams to the next level. A level where this debate will now settle.
With Project Oakdale, MS has played its ace card and it will be very hard for others to play their hand.
Interesting times. More details over the weekend.
